Dr. Ammar Taha is a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with subspecialty certification in neuroradiology and more than two decades of international and U.S.-based clinical experience. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Missouri while also practicing as a teleradiologist with multiple radiology groups across the United States.
Dr. Taha completed his medical education at Damascus University and Al-Baath University School of Medicine, followed by extensive postgraduate training in diagnostic radiology, neuroradiology, head and neck imaging, and vascular and interventional radiology. His advanced fellowship training includes programs at the University of Virginia, Indiana University, and the University of Texas system.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Diagnostic Radiology and holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. Dr. Taha is licensed to practice in numerous states and has provided radiology services in both academic and private practice settings.
Dr. Taha is actively involved in medical education, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows. He has received multiple teaching and clinical service awards in recognition of his dedication to education and patient care. His academic contributions include peer-reviewed publications and national and international presentations, particularly in neuroradiology, spine imaging, and head and neck radiology.
Dr. Taha is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Michigan Radiological Society and remains committed to advancing radiologic excellence through clinical care, education, and research.
